About Us - The Warmup Project
Mission Statement
At The Warmup Project, our mission is to empower low-income and at-risk youth by providing them with access to boxing, mentorship, and life-skills programs. Through our initiatives, we aim to build confidence, promote inclusivity, and foster personal growth for young individuals, creating a positive impact in their lives and our community.
Vision Statement
We envision a community where every child, regardless of their background or abilities, has the opportunity to thrive, succeed, and find a sense of belonging. The Warmup Project is dedicated to breaking down barriers, inspiring resilience, and creating lasting change for future generations.
-
The Warmup Project is a nonprofit organization founded by professional boxer Joel Iriarte, who grew up in Bakersfield, CA. Inspired by his own journey and passion for giving back, Joel created The Warmup Project to make boxing accessible to those who need it most.
We believe that boxing is more than a sport - it’s a powerful tool for building discipline, confidence, and perseverance. Our programs are designed to provide opportunities for youth to overcome challenges, develop critical life skills, and become leaders in their community.
